Beram is a typical inner Istrian hilltop town. This little place is most famous for its Gothic frescoes. They represent an important monument of Croatian culture and one of the most valuable works of Croatian historical heritage. The frescoes can be found within an old church Sv. Marija na škrilinah. But not only that, Beram is constantly inhabited for the last four thousand years and it is one of the main archeological points for discovering Istrian prehistory. Why was Beram so attractive during all of these years? We can only imagine, but we’re sure it has something to do with the idyllic conditions such as the fruitful land, green pastures, thick woods and, most importantly, water. Nature is still one of the most fascinating elements why visitors decide to spend their holidays in Beram area.
