Tourism after the pandemic?

The direction towards which tourism is heading for now is still unknown. Tourism is a large world industry and one can assume it is going to adapt to the new circumstances.
Tourism after the pandemic?
At the moment of writing these lines, most of people I know have been living for a month surrounded by the big life-changer – coronavirus. Some are completely isolated from the rest of the world, some had to substantially change their life habits, and some would like to be in their spots, but have to work instead. In any case, this is a new situation for all. With the extra time, one has a chance to stop, look inside and think about many current aspects. Will the world turn back to its old habits? My opinion is that a lot of things are going to change. So maybe this is an opportunity to start over and dedicate our time and efforts to true values.

We live in a globalized world. Now we're living witnesses that with its obvious advantages, this globalization brings certain downsides as well. For example, thanks to it, one tiny species, invisible to the human eye has managed – almost overnight – to change the way how billions of humans live their lives. Many of us are living inside our homes, with social contacts brought to minimum. And something is happening – the thing that often happens when you stop running from one obligation to another, meetings, errands, driving kids, shopping, going to beauty salons and having doctor appointments. We start thinking about our way of lives, the things that surround us, the past, the present and the future, not just for ourselves, but for the entire population, the whole planet. After the danger from the virus passes, many agree that the way the world works will thoroughly change. The incredibly quick transformation into digitization was organized within many services, both public and private. The (temporary) school reform was done within just a couple of days. This just shows that when people are united during the same misfortune, they can make the world a better place.

Tourism is a large world industry and one can assume it is going to adapt to the new circumstances. Some believe that in future the safest and the most attractive accommodation type are going to be vacation houses. They were primarily designed as objects that offer privacy to its visitors, together with a wide spectrum of possible activities. As a rule, these houses are extremely well designed, equipped with cozy furniture, top-notch kitchens and bathrooms, high-tech gadgets and appliances, fast internet, wellness, sport and leisure activities, and most of them come with a pool. The fact this is all wrapped into and attractive design that looks like a cover of a magazine and followed by free time, relaxation of body and soul and positive effect of sun on your skin – it makes an impression of escaping the reality. Most of these villas with pool have a garden, which are a welcome detail for the visitors arriving from large urban centers and living in buildings with no grassy area in sight.

The direction towards which tourism is heading for now is still unknown. What is important is to save the health and lives of those youngest, oldest and the ones with impaired health, because the way we take care of the most vulnerable parts of our society shows precisely how advanced we are. And we'll somehow manage to find a way for a quality leisure time.
