Recently Istria developed an interesting type of happenings that unite fun, education, gastronomy and sports. Many tourist boards and individual institutions host several events containing the mixture of exercising and wine drinking.
This article shows three most popular of them (keep in mind that all of these events have their fees and they have to be payed directly to the organizers through their web forms).

Southern Istria offers a series of events with a joint name „Run Eat Drink“, that include  running through amazing Istrian nature and tasting its original products, such as cheese, olive oil, ham, beer and – of course – various types of wine. Istrian farmers, wine and olive oil makers, hunters, cooks, fisherman, tourism professionals and kinesiologists all unite in order to produce these interesting and fun activities inIstrian city Pula and the surrounding placesLižnjan, Šišan, Medulin, Fažana, Barban and Vodnjan.

Umag holds and adventure named “Istrian Wine Run” which is meant to attract athletes and recreationistsin order to produce a fun platform for having a good time. There are three races: Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay Race. Although this is a race, it also contains food and wine tasting. To make things more interesting, the organizers encourage the contestants to wear some masks. So this is not only sport/fun/food and wine tasting/socializing party but also a costume party!

The Northwestern Istria has an annual “Istria Wine & Walk” adventure which is a little lighter kind of a recreation containing eleven kilometers of walk through vineyards and wine cellars starting from Buje and has seven „refreshment“ stops where you can taste local wines, extra virgin olive oil and local farmers' products. This area of Istria has exquisite wines, so you can taste many wine varieties made by the best Istrian winemakers such as Kozlović, Degrassi, Cattunar… In case you were wondering how you're going to return all the way back on foot, don't worry because the bus takes you back to Buje after the tour is over. The organizers of this event call it a walk in all the colours of wine because tourist boards of Umag, Buje, Brtonigla and Novigrad are unified in their efforts of presenting the best experience of this Istrian destination under a concept named …in all the colours of Istria.
