Villa Aurora with magnificent view from swiming pool, near Motovun This villa was built in the end of 19th century and fully renovated in the year of 2012. It is placed in a pitoresque part of Istria, its central part, in a village named Livade. The touch of past that this villa evokes is combined with all of the contemporary benefits, such as air conditioning, WiFi internet, private swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen as well as the laundry room. The capacity of this two-bedroom villa is 6 persons, and also a baby crib and feeding chair are available upon request. There are 2 bicycles at your disposal and for the fans of less phisical activities, there is a barbecue ready for use. Last, but not least, the villa has a breathtaking view from the terrace. Just a walk away there is a horse ranch where you can hire a guide and have a riding tour of the area. The nearest beaches are in Novigrad, Poreč and Tar, around 20 kilometres away, the nearest spa 10 km, the airport distance is 70 km and a shop and a restaurant can be found in Livade, the same place where villa Aurora is located. Some of the properties don’t allow youth groups. Location
Livade are reffered to as the home of the Istrian truffle, where there is a Festival of the Truffle held every year. The Mirna valley and its surroundings are a rich wildlife location. Another interesting fact: in the early 20th century a railway called „Parenzana“ used to pass through Livade and that was important for the people of these parts because it connected them with the cities on the western Istrian coast. It lost its function long ago, but today it's used as a very accessible path for walkers and cyclists. There is so many nearby places worth visiting and here are a few: Grožnjan, a small town with art galeries (one of them was a 14th century smithy, the oldest in Istria); Završje, with amazingly preserved medieval architecture; Oprtalj, praised by the food and wine lovers; in the end there is Motovun, the best preserved medieval town in Istria. Motovun is quiet and calm during the winter, but in summer months it becomes a crowded place that offers various events of culture and entertainment, such as the Motovun Film Festival, hot air baloon races, wine festivals or paragliding competitions.

This really is a charming villa
The villa is just beautiful. The accomodation is comfortable and the setting is amazing. We spent most of our week just soaking up fantastic views and lazing by the gorgeous pool. We even managed a couple of bike rides. The owners are lovely and so helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the pastries and home grown vegetables from the owner''s parents. We had already enjoyed a week in bigger villa with all our family and will certainly revisit Croaita again.

Enchanting istrian Villa
We were two Canadian couples and stayed at villa Aurora from June 7 – 14 ,2014. We loved our week and were enchanted by the view and natural setting. The house is built on a hillside, with one bedroom and ensuite on the lower level. The living, dining and kitchen area on the next. The second bedroom and ensuite are upstairs. The wonderful warm weather allowed us to take advantage of all the outdoor living space, the patio, the barbecue area with its lounge seating and the private pool area. The lush flowers and herb gardens added much to ambiance we spent our free time enjoying our gorgeous villa. The owner''s parents provided us with welcoming Croatian fresh food, cookies, wine, fresh eggs, potatoes and Zucchini.

Just beautiful!
We had a wondeful week at villa Aurora and couldn''t have been hapier. The countryside is simply beautiful and the view from the house, the BBG area and the pool will take your breath away. Thw owners are warm, hospitale and very helpful if you need anything. Nearby Motovun and Buzet offer a host great restaurants and breathtaking scenery as does Groznjan. We''re already planing our next trip back to Croatia and will base ourselves at this villa again. Thanks for wonderful holiday!
