A traditional Istrian country house Villa Captain Morgan is situated on a wonderful estate in a small village Mrgani. Legend says that it was named after an infamous pirate named Henry Morgan who was hiding near this estate together with the treasure he collected in his raids (to this day the treasure is undiscovered). The house was recently renovated to the highest standard of the Istrian County Tourist Board and received a quality certificate “Domus bonus”. It has a capacity for up to 8 visitors within the four bedrooms. The Villa’s interior design is quite retro and, consequently, makes this exceptional house even more interesting. Still, all of the facilities are fully equipped and up to date. The house exterior is consisted of a nice green garden with a pool, all of which is surrounded by a high stone wall. The house itself is also made of stone, a material commonly used in the Mediterranean.
Fran and David Svenson, London / We have enjoyed a wonderful week in Mrgani
We have enjoyed a wonderful week in Mrgani in what must be one of the loveliest houses in Istria. Memorable too have been our visits to Motovun and other hill towns, Umag, Vrsar, Rovinj and the Lim Fjord. Our last, very full day was spent on a visit to the Brijuni Island with the evening back at Captain's Morgan with a gourmet feast prepared by the lovely Alexander who has made us feel especially welcome. Thank you again.
