Marčana - Barban

This area between Pula and Labin, in the south-east of Istria, takes in Marčana, Barban and the surrounding villages such as Krnica, Rakalj, Marići, Sajini, Bokordići, Divšići and Orbanići. It is the Istria many travellers are looking for: stone houses, olive groves, fields and quiet country roads, with Pula, its beaches and the airport a short drive away. Barban is a medieval hilltop town, known for the Ring Race (Trka na prstenac), a traditional knights’ tournament held in summer. From here it is easy to reach both Pula and its Arena and the east coast with Labin and Rabac.
